When you need lunch on the go, you can make these easy wrap recipes in about 7 minutes. They are sure to be crowd pleasers so don’t hesitate to make extra !

Viral Trend

Almost two years ago, this quick lunch went viral online. I’m not one to try every food trend (can’t believe it’s a thing to be fair) that comes out.

But when I want a quick and easy lunch that will leave me satisfied – tastebud-wise and hunger-wise – this is the one.

Maybe I wasn’t clued up on social media before or lockdown brought more people to get creative in the kitchen. Either way, some of these “trends” can definitely make your life easier.

Wrapping Method

What’s the big fuss? Well, literally a wrap – I like mine to use whole flour so the grain has been less processed and contains more nutrients.

You cut one half of the circle like below, and consider the four different quarters of your wrap. Always remember that you will fold over the first quarter over the next. So a spread might be easier on the bottom left corner.

Then we’re going to fill our wrap with four different ingredients. Once you have filled your wrap, you can heat a little bit of olive oil on a pan, and grill your wrap. It looks like a triangle, which makes it easy to eat when you’re on-the-go.

I’m pretty sure you could put almost anything in there and it would taste good. But let’s try and theme our wraps, shall we?

Wrap Recipes

I’m going to put the four ingredients for each wrap in this next paragraph. The first ingredient is the one that should be on the cut side so you can fold over easily. After that, you can mix and match as you want. You will have a bit of every ingredient with every mouthful !

  • Breakfast or Dessert: coconut yoghurt, peanut butter, peach (or seasonal fruit), chocolate chips
  • Italian: artichoke spread, mozzarella, Prosciutto ham, cherry tomatoes
  • Mediterranean: goat’s cheese, spinach, marinated bell peppers, avocado
  • Mexican: guacamole, shredded cheese, beans, salsa
  • Middle Eastern: baba ganoush, halloumi, falafels, cucumber slices
  • Nordic: cream cheese, smoked salmon, slices of courgette, salad leaves with dill & lemon
  • Veggie Panini: Pesto, mozzarella, rocket leave, sun-dried tomatoes

Once your wrap(s) is ready, grill it in the pan for a few minutes on each side.

I don’t recommend taking it as a packed lunch because the heat will make the wrap moist. Or you can wait until it cools down, then package it and enjoy.

Honestly, you won’t regret trying this one !

Let me know in the comments which combination you try 🙂
